Light Age's innovative nUVo™ laser is the first commercially available all solid-state, cw, ultraviolet laser source. The nUVo™ laser system features solid-state reliability, together with our patented diode-pumping technology. The result is a compact, rugged and stable UV laser operating in the highly desirable near UV spectral region.
Light Age, Inc., the world's leading manufacturer of alexandrite lasers, has built upon its set of proprietary technologies to produce the nUVo™ laser. The cw nUVo™ laser is an intra-cavity frequency doubled alexandrite system. It can be configured to produce light at fixed wavelengths between 370 and 400nm. The nUVo™ laser delivers UV output powers up to 10 mW. Higher power models of the nUVo™ laser are under development and will be commercially available in the near future. Diode pumped alexandrite lasers that operate in their fundamental mode are also available. They produce light in the near IR. Output power exceeds 200mW at wavelengths between 740 and 790nm.
The TEM00 spatial mode quality makes these lasers well suited for applications requiring small spot sizes or coupling to an optical fiber.
The power stability (<1% rms) makes them perfect replacements for existing, gas discharge lasers.
