Light Age, Inc. is a leader in the development and manufacture of tunable solid-state lasers for science, industry and medicine. Light Age, Inc. is located in suburban central New Jersey, approximately 20 minutes north of Princeton, 50 minutes from New York City and 90 minutes from Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

Light Age, Inc. is now seeking Junior and Senior level Laser Technician to help meet growing demand for our medical and scientific products. Although extensive on the job training will be provided, we are seeking highly motivated candidates with excellent written/verbal communication skills, electronic/optics/mechanical parts knowledge. We seek candidates with established qualifications, experienced customer presence and proven accomplishments.

Responsibilities for this position will include: mechanical and optical systems assembly and characterization, laser system characterization for both medical and scientific systems, laser and optical system alignment. In addition, responsibilities will include in house technical support, on site customer training, installation, field service and adherence to FDA regulatory requirements for GMP’s and laser quality system standards.

Qualifications

Applicants must be detail oriented and should have several years of hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power meters, mechanical drawings and electronic schematics. Laser systems products and/or optics experience is desirable and is required for senior level positions. Candidates must have skill in working with ones hands to manipulate delicate parts. Individual must be well-organized, skilled in documenting results, creating reports & procedures and be computer literate. Experience with FDA medical device programs and/or FDA laser quality systems a plus. These positions require an associates degree or higher in science or engineering.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience and education level. In addition, Light Age offers benefits that include medical/dental insurance, a 401K plan, and stock option purchase plan. Compensation may be complemented by cash or stock option bonuses based on individual performance and company growth.
